Equipment for Broadcasting

This year we upgraded our Transmitter and Antenna to get a little more range and better audio quality, as last year suffered a little on both.

After looking at several transmitters available in kit form, we opted with the EDM LCD Transmitter made in South Africa. Delivery time was a little over a month, but once we received the transmitter and put it on the air, the wait was worth while. Audio quality was great, along with range from the supplied factory antenna. After some testing with the factory antenna, we decided to make a homemade 1/4 wave antenna. Range now is far better, 1 mile on 10mW power setting and further on the 100mW setting, this will allow us to operate at lower power settings and extend the life of the EDM LCD.
