- Mid-October, but work generally is done year around on the display with the month of September really picking up.

- A good month if weather cooperates.

- When the lights are all on, we draw 15,000 watts of power or about 120 amp @ 120 volts.  Since we have a Animated Display and are using computerized controller to run the lights, we never have all lights on at once. A guess for this years bill would be under $100 total for the length of the display.

- We fund the display ourselves, but try to be conservative on spending, and build what we can.

- 2007 was the first year and all money collected was donated to a local family.

- Excellent question!  Ever since way back, we have enjoyed putting up Christmas lights and really love the time of year. We enjoy the challenge of wiring everything and the planning it takes to make a display of this size come together piece by piece. Also, it is like a little Christmas gift we can give to family, friends and anyone who loves lights!

- My wife (Danea), my brothers (Leighton) & (Jerek) and myself (Chad) design the layout, equipment needed, and circuits.

- A computer talks to one of 9-LOR 16 Channel controllers, telling them to turn on/off certain channels at certain times (really fast by the way).

- We have 144 channels.

- Programming can take a long time, because there are 144 channels to edit and editing takes place by tenths of seconds. Each song can be very time consuming and take well over 2 hours per minute of the song to program.

- We run Windows 2000 and LOR 2 for controlling.
