Tokyo Hy-Power HL-500V

I just purchased this amp in July 2009 direct from Tokyo Hy-Power, boy was it worth the wait! I spoke with Miwa at Tokyo many times in the last 6 months about this amp over email. At first it was almost too much money considering it's power output and other amps on the market. But after some more consideration and realizing just how well this amp actually did fit into my current station, I purchased it! The money was wired to Tokyo on a Tuesday, building of the amp took about a week and then shipment via Japan EMS took another week. All in all, two weeks from the date of order till delivery. This amp has every level of protection a ham could ask for, over-drive, swr, temp, ect... I actually drive the amp kind of lightly and get well over 500 watts, if I drive at the factory recommended levels, I get well over 600 watts out!

If you have any questions or would like some more video/pictures, just shoot me an email. I'd be glad to help.

This is a front shoot of my 500v, very sweet amp, btw. While running it on WSJT for 50 second key downs, the amp stay nice and cool with the internal fans. Also while driving with the recommend 20 watts, I see well over 600 watts out on ssb.

Here is the back of the amplifier, it uses all type 'N' connectors for RF in and out.

Internal view of the amp, on the right of the picture is the two switching power supplies @ 48 VDC and then the RF deck on the left which uses two MRF151G's

A little video working some EME via WSJT with KM5PO and using the 500v
